Last week's ultrasound appointment revealed that we're having a baby girl! Michael had a feeling it was a girl, but I was truly shocked. My mother's intuition was so right-on last time with Wesley being a boy. I guess since I've been living in Baby Boy Land for the past 18 months, I just automatically picture a baby boy when I think of bringing a new baby home. So that must have thrown my intuition ju-ju off with this pregnancy! But we are both thrilled! It will be nice to get that 1-to-1 male to female ratio back around here! It's strange to go shopping and realize I can look at the pink stuff... my eyes still automatically scan for the blue! Most of all, though, we are so thankful to God that the baby is healthy. She had to be such a strong little trooper early in the pregnancy to survive the miscarriage of her twin. She has already made us proud! I had been feeling little pops and flutters in my tummy beginning mid-January, but just in the past two weeks, she has really started to make her presence known! I am suddenly feeling her kicking and rolling and I can definitely tell that there's a baby in there! How exciting!
By the way, many thanks to Megan, my best friend since elementary, for setting this blog up for me! She flew in from Colorado to spend the weekend with us here in Florida, and she put her professional graphic-designing abilities to work for us! Although she designed it to my tastes, obviously, because anyone that knows both me and Megan knows that we have completely opposite styles! But she did a great job conveying my Hannahish. Thanks, Megan!
