Well I’m all a puddle. I saw on DaNae Streets Photography's website that she would be holding “mommy’s wedding gown”
mini sessions in her studio. My wedding gown is hanging in Anna Kate’s closet,
exactly how it was when I placed it back in the bag after our wedding. I never
had it washed or preserved, I just put it back in the bag, and it’s made the
move with us from Georgetown to South Lakeland to Lake Morton. I loved the idea
of capturing the girls in my dress, so I booked the session. Her studio mini
sessions were right before spring break, but as it got closer, I reached out to
ask if we could do an outdoor session
instead of the studio session, since the girls are older and the studio setting
was more geared towards younger girls who would stand on a little ladder, etc.
She graciously obliged, and the girls did a quick change in Bonnet Springs. The gown fit them both perfectly. And they even wore the pearls Michael bought me
for our wedding. I will treasure these portraits forever!! Although it did cause a bit of awkwardness at bonnet Springs when people would walk past. I wanted to call out across the lawn, "Don't worry, she's not getting married!" when strangers spotted my 15 year old. But I refrained.
